The Lonavla Women’s Foundation organized an awareness session on menstruation and menopause, led by Dr. Aboli Mundargi, to encourage informed and open conversations around women’s health. The session focused on two critical yet often under-discussed phases in a woman’s life, creating a safe and supportive environment for learning and dialogue.
Menstruation and menopause, despite being natural biological processes, are often surrounded by stigma and misinformation. The session brought together women across different age groups, enabling meaningful discussions and shared experiences. It aimed to normalize these topics and promote a more informed understanding within the community.
Dr. Mundargi presented the session with clarity and sensitivity, simplifying medical concepts into practical, easy-to-understand insights. She addressed key aspects of menstrual health, hygiene, hormonal changes, and the physical and emotional transitions associated with menopause. Emphasis was also placed on recognizing symptoms, adopting healthy practices, and seeking timely medical advice.
The interactive format encouraged participants to ask questions openly, helping dispel myths and address common concerns, while fostering a sense of comfort and shared understanding among attendees.
