The Lonavla Women’s Foundation hosted the Museum on Wheels initiative in collaboration with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, bringing an immersive museum experience directly to students across Lonavla. The mobile museum travelled to multiple schools in the region, ensuring that access to culture and education reached children within their own learning environments.

The initiative featured a thoughtfully curated collection of exhibits, models, and visual displays spanning art, history, and science. For many students, this was their first interaction with a museum-like experience, making it both engaging and impactful.

By taking the museum to every school in Lonavla, the program focused on inclusive and experiential learning. Students were encouraged to explore the exhibits in a hands-on manner, sparking curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper appreciation for India’s heritage.
